Business Loans

Startup Capital for Young Entrepreneurs

Youth Liberia's micro-loan program provides youth-led startups and small businesses with the capital they need — without collateral, without barriers. Our loan officers provide hands-on business coaching from application through repayment.

No formal education is required for most programs. Basic English literacy is needed for the ICT track. Our skills training and business loan programs are open to all youth aged 16–35 with ambition and commitment.
Skills Training and Career Pathways programs are fully funded by Youth Liberia and our partners — no cost to you. Business Loans carry an 8% annual interest rate, which is well below market rate. Internship placements are paid by the host company.
Most applications are reviewed within 7–14 business days. Business loan applications may take up to 21 days due to our financial assessment process. You'll receive status updates via SMS or email throughout.
Absolutely. We have empowerment hubs in Gbarnga (Bong), Sanniquellie (Nimba), Buchanan (Grand Bassa), and Zwedru (Grand Gedeh). Online applications are also accepted for all programs.
All graduates join our alumni network, which provides ongoing mentorship, job postings, and business networking opportunities. Skills Training graduates receive LTVTA certification. Business Loan graduates are eligible for a second, larger loan after successful repayment.
Yes. We encourage combining programs — for example, completing Skills Training and then applying for a Business Loan to start your own enterprise. Our advisors will help you create a multi-program pathway.
